Hello. I'm Samantha Hahn, illustrator, surface pattern designer, crafter, blogger, and teacher. I find the world around me inspiring from my doorstep to the web. Some clients include Glamour Magazine, Craft Magazine, Hallmark, American Greetings Interactive, fashion and accessory designer Mary Jo Matsumoto, to indie web magazines like Lovely and Fashion 156. I recently debuted my patterns and cards at the NY Surtex show. I love doing both commercial and fine art. I do at least a drawing a day just because I love to draw. In addition to creating my own work, I write about art, design, craft, and eclectic style on my blog, Maquette (www.samanthahahn.com/blog). I also contribute to the award winning Colour Lovers blog. I earned my B.F.A. in Illustration from Syracuse University and my M.A. in Art Education from Columbia University, Teachers College. My studio is in Brooklyn near the park where I like to escape to now and then. I'm excited to be working with Loxii.
