What do we do on our days off at Loxii? We test print colors laying around to see how good they would look. For the wall graphic itself we choose Gisela’s Pipes because, well… who wouldn’t? This also gave us a chance to further perfect putting the graphic together. We snapped some pictures to show how the process went.
We had a blast applying Pipes to our office wall! But remember the best thing about Loxii is what goes up must come down. The next day we removed the graphic to keep our canvas ready for the next test. If your digging the color combo we did, shoot us a email we’ll see what we can do!

Her design studio, Silver Acorn Designs, covers an array of projects from graphic design and illustrations, to product packaging and textiles. Overprinting is one of those tools that every graphic designer should have in their bag of tricks. Overprinting occurs when an image, object or text is set to print over the top of the images beneath it. This is in contrast to a knockout, which removes the background images instead. I found this great tutorial which includes the files, and its short so that is a bonus. If you want to learn how to do overprinting in illustrator this is for you.
Stewart’s wife wanted him to finish her room so we threw this together and installed it one night. It was going to be a one time install, but it has now become one of our favorite graphics and we have decided to sell it as a loxii design. Check out the pictures and video below.

Her work has been featured in Glamour Magazine, Craft magazine, and Halmark. Samantha does commercial art, fine art, and writes about fashion and design on her blog Maquette. We are so excited to have Samantha Hahn on board with Loxii, her patterns are stimulating and fun. We will be releasing her designs soon!

With this page you will be able to edit your profile image, tell a little about yourself, and see the designs that you have entered in contests. Welcome to the loxii blog. We are a new wall graphics company that will be launching soon and we are excited to get feedback from everyone. We are a couple of college students who want to bring fun design into everyone’s home so that we are no longer plagued by ugly, blank, white walls. We don’t take ourselves to seriously so feel free to contact us with any suggestions or input. We want to hear what you are thinking. Keep checking back as we will keep you updated on the progress.
